You might want to take a seat for this news. That chair you’re lounging on? It’s hideous.
Get your butt to House of Honey, the expertly edited Pasadena home shop by interior design whiz Tamara Kaye-Honey. Her new line, The New Vintage, includes a collection of jazzed-up antique chairs lacquered to the nines and refurbished with bold, unchairlike fabrics.
Regard The Faux, a cane-back barrel number with a seat upholstered with a fake fur coat. Lest you be curious about the fur’s past life as outerwear, Kaye-Honey kindly includes a “before” Polaroid with your purchase.
If your taste is more 17th-century Parisian grandeur, there’s the Let Louis Dance, a Louis XV-style armchair with a dazzling seat back thanks to a sequin evening gown.
Trust us, this is some good sit.
Available at House of Honey, 1518a Mission Street, between Fair Oaks and Fremont Avenues, Pasadena (626-441-2454 or houseofhoney.la), $850 and up.
