Art imitates life.

The Talent Show
What:
An all-star exhibit (curated by Peter Eleey of the Walker Art Center) explores the twin desires for notoriety and privacy in an age of tell-all Facebook, reality TV, and government surveillance.
Why: Artists — including Sophie Calle, Andy Warhol, and Graciela Carnevale — explore the conflicts inherent in putting both willing and unwilling participants on view.
When: Thru Aug. 21. Open house, Fri., 6-10 p.m. Curator talk, Sat., 2-3:30 p.m.
Where: Henry Art Gallery, University of Washington, 15th Ave. NE, at N. 41st St. (206-543-2280). Admission is $8-$12 for the open house, $5 for the curator talk, and free-$10 for the gallery.

Where: Seattle Central Community College, Broadway, at Pine St.

When: Tonight. Costumed parade, 5:30 p.m.; exhibit tour, 7 p.m.; dance performance, 8 p.m.
