You love spending time with your little dude. But one glance at the adorable girls’ clothing racks and you understand why he hates going shopping with you.
Never mind the dresses, thanks to fashion designer, father, and Project Runway winner Jeffrey Sebelia’s haute couture collection for mini blokes, La Miniatura Kids.
Drawing on a late-’70s, early ’80s, post-punk style (think plaid blazers and velvet suits), he’s conceived a line of boys’ clothing worth lusting after.
With patch pockets and faux suede trim, little-guy styling never looked this cool. At first glance, a yarn-dyed twill coat and cozy pocket cargo shorts seem made for the runway, but they are built tough enough for everyday play. For more formal affairs, try the shawl collar-jacket and skinny trousers a la Joey Ramone.
Now he’s ready to rock.
Available later this month at Yolk, 1626 Silverlake Boulevard, between Effie Street and Berkley Avenue, Silver Lake (323-660-4315 or shopyolk.com); Eggy, 8365 West Third Street, at South Kings Road (323-658-8882 or shopeggy.com), $28-$198. For more stores, go to laminiaturakids.com.
