What: VanguardRep’s second season includes an adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and two original plays (After the Autumn, Tragic Women) at an amphitheater under the stars.

What: Westwood’s new go-to lunch spot serves a rotating cast of indulgent sandwiches (buffalo sweetbreads, chicken torta) made with ingredients from the farmers market. Save room for the buttermilk shortcake with wild strawberries and creme fraiche.

What: A new Echo Park recreational space that offers hands-on DIY classes ($25-$42) for the craft-challenged.
