Screenplay: Co
Characters:
- Justin Kern, screenwriter and the impresario behind art party Not to Be Reproduced.
- Stephanie Danan, movie producer who’s always dressed to chill.
Opening Scene:
J: We love working together and adore fashion. Why not start our own label?
S: It would be based on what I like — luxurious silks and cashmere; light knitted furs; lots of breezy, day-to-night transition pieces.
J: Each season, we’d produce a short film that captures the collection’s spirit and showcases its signature designs.
S: For fall/winter 2011, I see French actress Élodie Bouchez as a boho siren caught in a steamy love triangle. Breaking Upward’s Daryl Wein could shoot it in lush honey tones.
J: Spring/summer 2012 would be a 1930s science fiction flick. Think Mad Max meets Double Indemnity with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter in the director’s chair.
It’ll be box office boffo, baby.
