Catch a Wave: the Art of Surf Culture
What: The first of the three-part film series spotlighting international surf culture is a digital projection of 1966 Bruce Brown documentary The Endless Summer
Why: Follow Robert August and Michael Hynson as they journey their way around the globe.
When: Tonight, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Over and Over: a Small Survey of Obsessive Drawing

What: Artists Amanda Manitach and Izzie Klingels curate the new exhibition, which examines “mark-making, lines, dots, and smudges” in repetitive patterns.
Why: Works by Conny Prantera, Patrick Kelly, and Derek Albeck.
When: Thru Oct. 8.

5K Don’t Run
What: Mosey along five kilometers (spanning Pioneer Square and Beacon Hill) of site-specific art installations from several artists.
Why: Check out the Nepo House show afterward to view new pieces and live performances by a number of local musicians.
When: Sat. Walk, 2-6 p.m.; Nepo House show, 6 p.m.-midnight.
