Nothing is more American than apple pie, right? Wrong.
Restaurateur George Abou-Daoud (The Mercantile, Delancey) puts patriotism in overdrive with his latest Hollywood venture, Township Kitchen Americana and Saloon.
Grab a seat at a picnic table or red leather booth and admire the space’s rustic-chic vibe (tin ceiling, flag bunting) or sidle up to the mahogany bar and pledge allegiance to an American whiskey (rye, bourbon, moonshine) or craft beer.
Buckle up for a menu that reads like a national road atlas. Go Hollywood with a Los Angeles Cobb salad or indulge in a hot dog (dressed Chicago, Detroit, or New York style). A Louisiana shrimp boil offers Southern comfort before you venture into Yankee territory with a juicy New England pot roast.
As for that apple pie? It’s topped with vanilla ice cream.
United we stand.
