Twelve drummers? Ten lords? Are seven swans really necessary? (Hotel Bel-Air is getting by with four.)
Though the holidays might be about excess, Bare Bones, the latest jewelry collection from designer Jeet Sohal, is not.
A complement to the delicate, hand-forged fourteen-karat-gold trinkets that have become Sohal’s specialty, the new range of substantial rings, bracelets, and necklaces delivers the shine of her fine jewelry without the blinding price tag.
Familiar shapes such as the circle, teardrop, square, and leaf carry over from one collection to the next. This go around, Sohal has carved wax models and cast pieces in bronze, brass, white bronze, rose alloy, copper, and occasionally plated or solid gold.
Sculptural bracelets, statement chokers, and She-Ra-worthy cuffs are easy adds to any outfit (or wish list) and many, including the modern signets, can be engraved.
Five golden rings? Yes, please.
