Being back at work stinks.
For a scents-ational pick-me-up, sniff out Shalimar: Apothecary of Scent, the new West Hollywood smell-atorium by master herbalist Shalimar Luciano.
Step out of Melrose Avenue’s hustle and bustle and into a dainty bungalow with fresh-cut flowers, crystal chandeliers, and blush-hued walls. A complimentary cup of tea puts a ladylike spin on browsing.
On the shelves, find cult European labels (Profumi di Firenze, Parfums de Nicolaï, Dr. Hauschka) alongside local offerings like Los Angelust. The shop is one of only a handful in the country to proffer teas, candles, and incense from storied Parisian teahouse Mariage Frères, so stock up (we recommend Sorbet de Thé-scented anything).
Also on offer is Luciano’s own line, Nature Spirits, a collection of herbal remedies, lotions, and bath salts made from all-natural, top-notch ingredients (Egyptian myrrh, French lavender).
Do they smell nice?
You nose it.
