After a lifetime of playing the field, we finally see the merit of monogamy.

The cool, frothy concoctions at Main Squeeze, the new Santa Monica juice bar, have won our undying devotion. Jonathan Trivas and Guru Thapar devised the pocket-size space to be everything most SoCal juiceries aren’t (unpretentious, reasonably priced).

Here, the generous gents share the recipe for one of their biggest sellers.

After all, why go out for a $12 smoothie when you’ve got the almond milk and cacoa nibs at home?

Chocolate Thunder Smoothie
Serves one

8¼ oz. raw almond milk
½ banana
1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
½ tbsp. raw cacao nibs
1 tbsp. raw almond butter
Dash cinnamon
Organic agave nectar

1. Pour milk into a high-speed blender (preferably a Vitamix).

2. Add banana, cacao powder and nibs, and almond butter. Top with cinnamon.

3. Slowly count to three as you drizzle nectar into the mix.

4. Blend on high 40 seconds or until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
