Kicking off our Woman Behind the Blog Q&A series is the lovely Heather Taylor, proprietress of Taylor de Cordoba gallery and creator of L.A. in Bloom.

Between lush art and fashion posts, she divulged her favorite L.A. meal, her multihyphenate profession, and her emergency stash.

Neighborhood: I live in West Hollywood and work in Culver City.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever eaten in L.A.? A multicourse, family-style Tuscan dinner served during my wedding at Campanile, which included fava bean crostini, fresh pasta with crabmeat and peas, stuffed calamari, and grilled lamb chops.

Who’s the most stylish Angeleno living or dead, real or fictional? Diane Keaton.

Fill in the blank: “Ryan Seacrest is _____” an example of what hard work can yield.

What’s in the trunk of your car? Yoga mats, spin shoes, usually a cookbook or two, some yarn, and a pair of Manolo Blahniks I keep in there for emergencies.

What was the last movie you saw in a theater? The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I went by myself one afternoon, and it was blissful.

What’s L.A.’s best kept secret? The weekday breakfast deal at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. Ten bucks gets you coffee, freshly squeezed juice, and one of the tasty entrees like a poached egg on avocado toast. I can’t make it that economically in my own kitchen.

Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, or Pavilions? Hollywood Farmers Market for produce and Trader Joe’s for everything else.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? An Hermès watch for my college graduation.

Of all your posts, which are you the most proud of? My first webisode, which I published in September 2011 as the intro to my Web series. I had been wanting to do videos for several years, and it felt so good to release something that I had worked so hard on and felt good about. The theme was a weeknight dinner party, and I prepared a plum and heirloom tomato salad along with lots of great cheeses and charcuterie for my friend Jeana Sohn.
