Opening Friday (now taking reservations), the bilevel restaurant is salvation in a shepherd’s pie. With breezy dual patios, floor-to-ceiling windows, and vintage-inspired decor (leather wingback chairs, antique maps), its divinity is in its details.

Start your mornings in the cheery downstairs cafe with Handsome Coffee java and maple bacon beignets (available for takeout).

Evenings, congregate upstairs for Lane’s elevated, market-driven take on British fare (grilled corn, burger with epoisse, chicken liver mousse with onion rings) washed down with craft beers and cocktails by bar star John Coltharp (Seven Grand).

Lane prophesizes full breakfast and lunch menus.
