A wise man once said life is like a box of chocolates.

Taking that philosophy to heart is AK Supper Club, a new Abbot Kinney pop-up where — gastronomically speaking — you never know what you’re gonna get.

Every few months proprietress Alona Cooke plans to reinvent the restaurant (housed in the former Capri space) with a different chef at the helm. First up are Kevin Kathman (The French Laundry) and Dustin Taylor (Waverly Inn), whose Midwestern-inflected French fare has been known to knock off socks.

The market-driven menu changes weekly, but expect savory small plates (agnolotti with artichoke, baked oysters with chorizo) and hearty mains with a flair for marine life (wild striped bass rutabaga, wild salmon with creamed corn).

Sip from a Cali-heavy wine and craft beer list. And don’t even think about skipping dessert (bread pudding, passion fruit panna cotta).

Because delicious is as delicious does.
