The juice is loose.
After a seventeen-month fashion hiatus, Juicy Couture founders Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor are back with a new line, Skaist Taylor.
Channeling a casually glam vibe — with nary a velour tracksuit in sight — the collection weds skillful tailoring with luxe fabrics (silk-blend lamé, fox fur) and “I’m with the band” swagger (Nash-Taylor’s husband is Duran Duran’s bass player, after all).
Fall (currently flying off racks at a designer boutique near you) takes cues from the designers’ personal closets with floaty chiffon frocks, relaxed mohair sweaters, and natty military jackets. Resort, in stores next month, pays respect to Studio 54’s louche glamour (think: crepe de chine minidresses, gold stretch leather pants).
Ever the experts at accessorizing, the women make Spotify sound tracks to go with each new collection.
We’re already thirsting for more.
