Piccolo Paradiso Opens

The Wayans Brothers make us laugh. The Brothers Hanson make us scratch our heads.

Ah, but the Brothers Drago, they make us blush over words we can barely pronounce like arancini, tagliolini, and mozzarella burrata, while we eye longingly those last dregs of buttery risotto on our plate. (Then, of course, they send us screaming to the gym.)

These four boys are the chefs and owners of some of the best Italian eateries in LA (Celestino, Tanino, Il Pastaio, Il Buco). This week, 29-year-old Giancomino Drago opens the doors to his very own restaurant, Piccolo Paradiso.

Slightly more formal than Il Pastaio and Il Buco, Giancomino’s latest Italian venture is named after one of our favorite movies, Cinema Paradiso. He’s mixing movies and Italian food. Have we died and gone to heaven?

Oh, by the way, the Baldwin brothers? We’re so over them. Completely.

Piccolo Paradiso, 150 S. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, (310-271-0030).
