Helping Hands

Buy Jewelry at Home for Charity

What if the in-home retail party merged with the do-gooder society event?

We’ll tell you what you’d get: Hands of Change, an organization that generates aid for women in crisis worldwide.

Here’s how it works: You invite your girlfriends over, sip mimosas, and buy beautiful jewelry crafted by at-risk teens. Right in the comfort of your home. (The same items are available at Fred Segal or Rebel, but that’s so much less cozy.) You feel good, knowing proceeds from your purchases are donated to U.S.-based women’s organizations providing assistance to female victims of violence, oppression, and human-rights violations.

A Tupperware party with a conscience. Could anything be better?

To learn more about Hands of Change, become a sponsor, or host a jewelry party, call (310-998-4982) or e-mail handsofchange@hotmail.com.
