Stalking Up

Sending flowers — all about the details.
(Is anything worse than baby’s breath?)

No one does better work than Jennifer McGarigle, owner of Floral Art in Venice Beach, whose stunning arrangements show her expertise in fashion, interior design, and art history. She may use traditional blooms (heirloom roses, lilacs, sweet peas), but the containers she chooses are anything but: vintage purses, wooden boxes covered in Chinese silk, Mondrian-influenced trays, and English teacups. Little wonder Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Hillary Clinton, and Rob Thomas keep coming back for more. And big events are no problem, party planners: She did the premiere of Magnolia. (How appropriate.)

Feeling inspired? You can bring McGarigle something of your own to use as a container. Solving, of course, the problem of what to do with last season’s (unwearable) stiletto.
