Dancers have always had a thing for leather.

Eight years ago, Torry Pendergrass showed up to a rehearsal wearing homemade leather cuffs. Faster than he could curtsy, he was asked to crank them out for the whole cast.

Today he is the man behind Red Monkey Designs timepieces, and his watches can be seen gracing the wrists of such high-profile time tellers as Carson Daly, Sheryl Crow, Reese Witherspoon, and the Dixie Chicks. Each band is beautifully crafted from natural leather and dyed to match the style of the individual watch face (from vintage Rolexes to moderately priced Seikos). And if you just can’t part with that old Timex, Pendergrass will customize a band just for you.
