Beads on string are like pastrami on rye. A classic combination, to be sure.

Unless you’re talking about I. Ronni Kappos. The L.A.-based jeweler manages to take these tried-and-true ingredients and whip up something genuinely unique. Working with colorful vintage beads and silk thread, she creates modern shapes and patterns in the form of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Stunning, surprisingly untrendy, indisputably original.

So much so, in fact, that they’ll make you see beads and string in a whole new light.

Now if only you could convince the guy at the deli that your lunchtime sandwich needs a new look.
