Art?
Feeling squeamish about making the full-on leap? Can’t really afford it? Even if you don’t know a Matisse from a Magritte, you should visit the ARSG (Art Rental & Sales Gallery) at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The well-stocked basement gallery is filled with works by up-and-coming artists — canvases, inks, photographs — all available for rent. Yes, art for rent. Trial basis. With the option to buy.
The bimonthly payments are as easy on the pocket as a round of cocktails at White Lotus. So it’s not like you’re going to have to cut off and pawn an ear. (An art joke. You’ll understand soon.) Payments can be used toward purchase price, should you exercise your option to buy.
If only you could find the same arrangement for your prospective mates.
