If you’ve already exhausted the Office Space DVD and uncovered the hilarity of BBC America’s The Office, might we suggest escaping the daily grind for a little theatrical catharsis? Resignation is Terry Everett Brown’s hysterical solo show about climbing the corporate ladder … and jumping off.

Brown recounts his travails from the halls of the White House to the towers of Wall Street, playing each idiotic character along the way until he finds a way to get even. The hour-long performance, tucked away in the tiny but cool, off-the-beaten-path Actor’s Art Theater, is followed by a festive wine and cupcake reception. It’s such a good way to blow off office steam, you may never go back.

Consider it. Before you get another case of the Mondays.
