Wheel of Fortune

Making pottery sexy is no easy feat.

But damned if Demi and Patrick didn’t pull it off.

And ever since that immortal scene in Ghost, we’ve all been a little curious: Could ceramics be the gateway to unprecedented sensuality?

Probably not. But it could be a great way to tap into your latent creativity. At Toros Pottery in Eagle Rock, owner and artist Toros Tngrian leads classes for every level, from novice to expert. Students learn the basics of throwing simple forms on a potter’s wheel, as well as a variety of hand-building clay techniques. They also have access to vibrant glazes and state-of-the-art kilns. Need inspiration? Take a look around. Toros’s incredible work is on display (and for sale) in the showroom, which fronts the studio. And with only eight to ten people per class, you’re sure to receive plenty of attention.

Though we can’t guarantee that it’ll involve intertwined fingers and bare, heaving chests.
