The Princess Diaries

You don’t wear a crown or bear a title. But, for some reason, people feel compelled to address you as “Milady,” “Your Highness,” and even “Queen Bee.”

You’re starting to wonder if you should take it as a compliment.

Natalia Konovalova doesn’t sweat such things. Her friends have called her “Princess of Kazulkum” ever since she took the title at a beauty pageant in the former Soviet Union. And, as if that weren’t enough, she’s also the designer behind Bulga, a much coveted collection of handbags.

Just one season deep, her line has shapes that are polished and simple, but the hardware, studs, and fringe show there’s enough rock and roll to be had by all. And they’re on the roomy side, so those of the more bohemian ilk will be happy to have found their next big tote.

There’s also a new color palette. Joining fuchsia, white, and safari yellow are taupe, teal, purple, and yellow sand.

The bags are in high demand, but we trust you’ll get your hands on one.

Right, Princess?
