Self-diagnosis has often steered you down the wrong path.
The early stages of Sjogren’s Syndrome turned out to be a harmless cavity. The asymmetrical haircut you gave yourself didn’t exactly scream chic. And canary yellow bedroom walls are surely not what the love doctor ordered.
Next time, consult color therapist/interior designer Carol Smith. Having studied colors and the effects that they have on people, Smith comes to your home or office with paint books (8-by-10 pages of color, not 1-by-1 squares) and spends time getting to know you and learning what you want to accomplish or change in a particular room. She then makes recommendations, brings over mini paint cans, and, once you’ve picked what’s right for you, turns over the paints and treatment suggestions (or takes care of the job herself).
The difference between eggshell and cream? She’s on it — and knows when to use which. What’s particularly comforting is that she works with high-end paint company Farrow & Ball, so you needn’t be afraid she’s pushing sponge-painting or stencils.
After all, your bedroom has suffered enough, don’t you think?
