It’s nothing new to hear that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

But when word gets out that some guy is kindling a love affair with his own garbage, now that’s something special.

So goes the story of Harvest, a new line of accessories from Japan. The designers (Haru and Hiroshi) accumulated quite a stack of skateboards in their small apartment, all of which were too busted to take out for a shred but had too much sentimental value to chuck. To remedy both problems at once, they turned to recycling the decks into artful pendants, rings, brooches, and bangles.

Each object is hand-cut and comes complete with the character-building stickers, dings, and dents from its past.
