Pillow Talk

As a collector, you’ve hit an awkward stage.

Strawberry Shortcake and friends mingle with your collection of urban impressionist works (read: one painting). And nothing seems to be bridging the gap between expensive grown-up art and dust-attracting irony.

Strike a happy medium with Eleventwentyfive. For their line of decorative pillows, the company licenses work from up-and-coming artists like sci-fi painter Adam Ross, textile designer Susan Benarcik, and mixed-medium talent Monique van Genderen.

Current favorites are most definitely the flora-and-fauna-inspired Plume (by illustrator Amy Ruppel) and Tree (taken from Ann Faison’s ongoing tree-drawing project).

The goal of the project is simply to offer functional art objects that won’t break the bank.

And, of course, give you fodder for your next cocktail party conversation — other than Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, and the rest of the gang.

All of whom can be berry limiting.
