Logan’s Run

Unless you’re prone to pulling Stuart Smalleys in the morning, talking to yourself doesn’t normally pay off.

Which is why it’s hard to explain the existence of local designers Amo & Bretti’s Logan sweater.

All that time you spent staring at your reflection, wishing aloud for a sweater that was cardigan-like but not a cardigan, a soft shawl but not a pashmina.

And then this little cashmere number in black, white, gray, and lavender comes along. It makes you wonder: How it is that the duo (who swears they haven’t been spying) knew you wanted a ladylike knit to wear with denim and gowns, sundresses and sweats? How’d they know to make it cozy and wrappable but not bulky? And how’d they get it to close with a pretty brooch or a simple tie-and-tuck?

Where’d they pluck these bright ideas? Straight outta one of your fuzzy dreams?

As for the rest of the collection (scoop necks, dolman sleeves, tunics, cardis, and tanks), your reaction will be the same.

So be careful what you wish for.

And double check there’s not a tap on your phone.
