Wax Salon Opens

Those Brazilian trips can be a real pain.

All the discomfort of a twelve-hour flight in coach compressed into a few split seconds of horror.

But not at Wax, the West Hollywood salon that opens this week. This is where those who subscribe to the less-is-more philosophy of body hair (really, who believes that more is more?) can relax.

Wax doesn’t play by standard girly parlor rules. It’s a laid-back, refined, modern space staffed by six highly skilled aestheticians. You can breeze in and out, but the lounge is so welcoming you may get your treatment and stick around for a while.

They’re open all day Sunday, and there’s a VIP (a.k.a. “back”) entrance and private mini-waiting area for those unwilling to see and be seen. The policy here is what happens at Wax stays at Wax.

So no one will ever know about your top secret Brazilian forays.

Unless, of course, you want them to.
