A.P.C. Comes to L.A.

Exchange students always have it rough. Except for the French ones.

Somehow, while other international newbies are still wrestling their extra large backpacks, NFKOTBs are being ushered to lunch at the très cool kids’ table — as if they care.

Time to welcome your newest ami: Tomorrow, A.P.C.’s first West Coast flagship opens for business.

Like the Paris, Tokyo, and New York boutiques, the West Hollywood location will have clothing, accessories, and cultural ephemera for men and women who dig the French minimalist aesthetic.

The spring/summer collection includes brand new swimwear as well as their year-round range of basic denims. The shop will also have the last batch of this year’s Madras collection — very nice considering it’s been sold out everywhere else for weeks.

It’s the least they can do after waiting twenty years to open here.

No one can ignore L.A.’s je ne sais quoi forever.
