Good on Paper

Bella Bella Couture Correspondence

Dear Bella,
Thanks so much for the socks. They’re smashing. That’s all I wanted to tell you, so now I’m going to sign my name extra large with maybe a heart or two so that it takes up the rest of this space. Why do they make these cards so big, anyway?
XOXO,
[heart] Bella [heart]

Oh, Bella Bella. Smaller thank-you notes are a great idea. While you’re at it, why not throw a few Happy Birthdays, Miss Yous, Congrats, and plain old Hellos into the mix, too. All you really need is a three-by-four-inch space to get a sentiment across, right?

And balance antiquey motifs with a modern sensibility. It works for the tiger, typewriter, and damask prints, so why not everything? In fact, call it Couture Correspondence for any occasion. Picking perfect colors and adding names, initials, and cheeky sayings is a cinch.

That’s the way to make them sincerely yours.
