First, a ring. Then bangles, double-wrap belt, anklet, holster, headdress, and maybe a scarf. Or two.

This is precisely the behavior that calls for Riller & Fount, a new line of super-soft jersey dresses from Susie Crippen of J Brand fame and her BFF Marlena Ruiz.

Basic and flattering, the simple silhouettes might have a little detail — say, ruching or an asymmetrical neckline — but leave the jazzing up to you. Each of the six styles offers maximum versatility, but the long-sleeve crew and the strapless (complete with built-in shelf bra) make the staple statement best.

The line is ready now in basic black, chocolate, raisin, and charcoal. For fern and lapis, you’ll have to wait for spring.
