Salty Dog

Saltistry Gourmet Salts

Knock over your average salt shaker, and the standard rules apply: Throw a pinch over your shoulder and don’t ever look back.

Spill Saltistry and better hope the precious crystals land on something edible. The gourmet sea salt infusions are too good to waste.

Varieties found all over the world from England to Japan, France to Washington State, serve as the basis for these flavored flakes made here in L.A. Toasted brown rice is ground with fine grains from Portugal to become nutty popcorn salt. Hand-grated Indonesian long peppercorns along with Tellicherry, pink, green, and white peppers are blended with Japanese Makidaki No salt for an all-purpose option. Or sprinkle tangerine, lemon thyme, or heirloom tomato on any snack in sight.

Puzzled by sweet apricot or coconut black? Sift through the recipes on the website for Saltistry-friendly foods.

Just hope you’re not feeling sluggish.
