Naughty by Nature

P.O.P. Butter-Crunch Candy

You’ve never been down with O.P.P.

But P.O.P.? That’s a different story.

Named after Pacific Ocean Park, an obsolete ’60s-era amusement park pier in Santa Monica, the sinful butter-crunch treats are the homegrown creation of Westsiders Bill Waiste and Rachel Flores.

The salty-sweet candy comes in three flavors: almond, pecan, and pistachio, which is made with a hint of liquid smoke. Or if you’re feeling nutso, you can try a mix of all three with a cashew bonus.

Bedazzle your brittle with themed sprinkles (piglets, rattles, race cars) and hand them out as favors for an appropriate shindig. Variety packs make it easy for the noncommittal to indulge.

And if someone tries to dip into your goodie bag, tell them hands off.

Because damn skippy you’re with it.
