A shot of Wake Experience, pro rider pros Nick and Julz Heaney’s wakeboarding school, will wake you up.

Start your day with a few lessons on land going over gear, how to use it, and the basics of what exactly you’re supposed to do when you’re in the water. Then cruise the X-Star out to sea where you’ll be coached through tricks like toe side airs; butterslide 180s; off-axis 540s; and, of course, how to get up.

On top of custom packages and expeditions (next stop: Tahiti), the new L.A. Wake ’n’ Beach Club is an easy access, no-pressure way to pick up water sport skills (not to mention the perfect excuse to hang out on the boat, barbecue on the beach, and watch the Heaneys in action).
