A singing quartet of squash? An arresting array of arugula?
Things are getting curiouser and curiouser.
Follow the scent to The Curious Palate, a pleasantly unassuming new farmers market-to-table gourmet shop and cafe.
Artisanal cheeses, prosciutto, salami, and house-cured veggies (artichokes, pickles, beets) reside with farm-fresh organic eggs in the cold case. Belgian chocolates and quirky sodas (sparkling espresso, rooty root beer) round out the picnic-ready mix.
Lunch and dinner mean mac ’n’ cheese with Gruyere, goat and blue cheese, and four-year-aged cheddar; meatloaf with caramelized onion and tomato jam; or a salad overflowing with whatever’s in season.
If you were to ask, you’d also learn that the decor is made with reclaimed lumber and other ecofriendly touches. But we recommend keeping your mouth full.
It is, after all, a question of taste.
