The bold-faced name behind it all? Shimmi, the new line of bikinis from L.A.-based ladies Alison Renner and Scarlett Chorvat.

What started as a quest for the perfect simple but stylish two-piece became a collection of swimwear with just enough coverage — or lack thereof — for any beachy, poolside, or yacht rock occasion.

Go for a little with a timeless string Birkin in hippie floral or a little more with the triangle twist Sophia in lamé-coated black and white polka dot. Tie on the denim blue convertible-topped Joplin with a bit fuller bottom.
