Hubba-hubba. We know keeping this news hush-hush would be a real no-no. So let’s spill it. (Chop-chop!)
Iko Iko opens tomorrow.
Never too froufrou, designer and goody-goody Kristin Dickson (Rowena Sartin, Souvenir) curates the new boutique/art space/gathering place every twelve weeks, bringing together artisans with high-style aesthetic to strike the perfect balance of chichi and handmade craft.
First up: art history and tradition of still lifes, a shopable installation that steers clear of being matchy-matchy by incorporating a variety of elements such as clothing, accessories, collages, and ceramics — and a felted wool workshop showing technique from Germany’s Black Forest on the way.
So head over to Angelino Heights and check it out.
On the double.
Iko Iko, 1298 Sunset Boulevard, at Innes Avenue, Angelino Heights (323-719-1079). Extra! Extra! Grand opening reception with numnums, Saturday, 7-10 p.m.
