Quietly open for but a short time, the intimate bar already feels like it has a past. Circus-themed painted panels, along with vintage fixtures and photographs salvaged from the Eastern Seaboard set the watering hole’s rich, turn-of-the-century stage.

The cocktails have been conjured accordingly. Try the likes of Zucker Und Zimmt (vodka, blackberries, Licor 43, pineapple juice, cinnamon), Flim Flam (gin, Cynar artichoke liqueur, Luxardo Maraschino, Sambuca Molinari), and The Dame (cognac, cherry juice, lemon, champagne).

If it’s packed — which it’s destined to be — leave your number at the door and they’ll ring you when there’s a stool at the bar or room in one of the peach mohair-backed booths.
