Miami restaurants tend to have an overly glitzy Moulin Rouge decor. (Billowing curtains. Gold accents. Midgets.)

So why is your salon so boring?

Stepping things up: 1160 Hair. The beauty parlor may have opened quietly over the summer, but the interior just screams.

Faux fruit dangles from the ceiling in the hallway. The manicure room looks like it was ripped from Barbie’s Japanese Dream House (lotus wallpaper, black lacquer tables, baroque pink chairs). Even the shampoo station is a sight: Sinks sit atop green Astroturf, and vines climb the walls.

So they dwarf the competition.
