Have any of you actually tried to expense anything. IT IS A JOKE AND DOESNT EVEN WORK!

Posted by pixelsguy on

I hereby condemn this posting on behalf of the Internet Detectives for Irresponsible Online Transactions and Services (my apologies for the long name, but we can't condense our name to an acronym for obvious reasons). Online internet websites like expenseasteak.com create the potential to allow low-level employees to take further advantage of corporate reimbursement. It's just not right. Executives have long enjoyed their god-given right to corporate reimbursement. If corporate peons begin to expense more than Chinese takeout and pizza, how will executives be able to expense luxury sedans, first class airline travel, and the occasional coke & hooker binge?

This is a joke! Aren't we all here loyal and loving subscribers to DailyCandy! Don't we know by now that many of their clever puns are all in the name of humor. Look, I'm all for taking a active stand from your computer seat for no reason other than you're bored at work, but this has gotten out of hand! The only thing unethical here is everyone's inability to see how funny this is.

Guys, I have to admit, I think it's hilarious and clearly a joke. I mean, if you're going to steal from your employer, it's not like you really need this site to do it. You could easily pick up receipts from trashcans and floors around restaurants any time. I mean, c'mon!

Not only is your suggestion to present false expense reports unethical, it is illegal. But more fundamentally, why should any employee feel she has the right to "stick it" to her employer, much less the right to steal from her employer? This is no way for women to break the glass ceiling. All it does is promote a sense of entitlement rather than putting in the work to actually earn your money. And submission of false expense reports to get money you're not entitled to is no different than shoplifting or any other type of theft. I am completely disgusted.

I can't believe anyone would think that thing is legitimate. It's obviously a joke. Who has ever heard of "The Panini Experience?"

come on guys! it's clearly a joke. worry about something real like health care reform or the glass ceiling the corporate giants you feel the need to protect have created.

OMG I can't believe how irresponsible this site is. You're actually promoting a company that will help people commit fraud? Is that what you consider "cool?" Totally not cool. I know you push the limits sometimes, but this is totally overboard.

I agree. I can't believe you are supporting a website that promotes stealing. It is illegal and I hope that the site is shut down. This is in very poor taste on your part DailyCandy and I will no longer recommend your site to my advertising clients.

I agree. I've forwarded this info. to the people in my company responsible for reviewing travel receipts. This only costs everyone more. I'm disappointed in you.

I think it's incredibly irresponsible and unethical in the current financial times to recommend a site that fabricates expense receipts, not to mention illegal. Actions like this can hurt not only the company but all its employees. Poor taste, DailyCandy.
