Start with a big bottle of your liquid of choice (go grape for authenticity, try cherry for kicks), add a packet of magical powder (okay, it’s a special formulation of yeast and sugar), and seal with the air lock and rubber stopper. Wait 24 hours before taking a sample swig; after 48 it should be ready to swill.

Your homemade bubbly will last for weeks but will lose carbonation over time.
