Screen Gems

poster child prints!

From backroom dealers to off-the-wall schemes, you’ve been caught in the paper chase.

Just look out for Poster Child Prints, a new affordable online art shop with roots deep in the L.A. scene.

Curated by Sonja Teri, who did time at Shepard Fairey’s Swindle magazine before going off on her own, the site connects would-be collectors with a mix of artists who would otherwise be out of price range.

Break boring patterns with Jim Houser’s “Stormfront” or introduce animalistic elements with Deedee Cheriel’s “Desire.” There’s easy street like Pose’s “Mad Hatter” or FriendsWithYou’s “Happy Farmers.” And while “We Are All Kings” is Amanda Visell’s vintage take, David Weidman’s “Home Sweet Home” is actually vintage.

Each work is screen-printed on heavy cotton paper in limited editions between 75 and 150. A new print is added each week.

So sooner or later you’ll wind up framed.
