Without an explanation, you’d steer clear of a nuts box.
And you’d be so very wrong. Tzurit Or’s aptly named treats are crazy in the best way: buttery crust with caramelized filling and — you guessed it — toasted pistachios, cashews, walnuts, pecans, and hazelnuts.
Though nuts boxes (it never gets old saying it) are Or’s signature, the selection at her bakery is extensive. Made using European recipes heavily influenced by her Israeli upbringing, the offerings range from tarts, cheesecakes, and pies to meringues, quiche, and brioche. And there’s a whole section of refreshments for special holidays like Passover, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Rosh Hashanah.
Many of the items are naturally gluten free, and she uses only the highest-quality fresh, seasonal ingredients.
This lady’s no box of rocks.
