Who wants 31 flavors when all you need is one heavenly scoop from Sweet Rose Creamery? Inspired by dairy barns of yore, the tiny small-batch ice cream parlor opens today in the Brentwood Country Mart.
Taking their signature ingredient-driven ethos to their latest venture, the folks behind Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Huckleberry Cafe put a sophisticated spin on frozen nostalgia. Everything is made on-site, from toppings to waffle cones to cookies for ice cream sandwiches.
Choose from twelve seasonal flavors (strawberry rhubarb, ginger, salted caramel) including two sorbets and a dairy-free option (vegans rejoice!). There’s even a clean room on the premises, which means nothing is made from a base.
Valrhona fudge pops provide an upgraded trip down memory lane, as do old-fashioned floats made from Virgil’s artisanal root beer (on tap). But it’s the s’mores ice cream pie with burned marshmallow topping that really takes the ice cream cake.
