At the all-natural fast food (boutique) chain’s first Southern California outpost, clipboards with order sheets greet you at the door. Check off what you’d like, hand it over, and watch as breakfast, lunch, or dinner is rapidly made. (Or just go back to gabbing/e-mailing/scrolling/MyFace-ing/whatever it was you were doing before you walked in. They’ll understand.)

There are no messy salad bars or greasy tongs to deal with — and, no, someone’s earpiece isn’t lost in the spinach — just healthy, tasty meals like hearty muesli and spinach and goat cheese wraps. Rice bowls and salads are made to suit with more than twenty dressings and 50 add-ins (including proteins, fruits, and vegetables) and delivered speedily. Too bad you can’t blame them when you’re late.
