Somewhere in between Pegah Anvarian’s late high-fashion signature label and the way-better-than-basics she’s been turning out as creative director of Three Dots, you’ll find her new line, Archive 001.The idea is to invest in classically cut pieces that get a heavy injection of style from a mix of killer fit and unexpected fabric combinations (hello, lambskin, perforated suede, silk taffeta, and ponte knit), and build on it for years to come. And although, at first glance, the line seems minimalist, there’s a special detail on every piece that makes it insanely flattering. Panels, zippers, and snaps work sleek miniskirts for elongated silhouettes. Stretch leather pants are seamed for maximum legginess. Corseted dresses might look like a party on the outside, but inside power mesh (often used in girdles) is working overtime. Even the tees — done in paper-thin cotton — have a smart amount of sex appeal. Now let’s hope that somewhere is in your closet.Available at Des Kohan, 671 Cloverdale Avenue, between Wilshire Boulevard and Sixth Street, Miracle Mile (323-857-0200 or deskohan.com), $200-$1,200.
