What: While NYC chef Gary Robins (Russian Tea Room) does recon for his first West Coast outpost, fill up on homemade pastas, roasted fish and meats, and a whole lot of antipasti and flatbreads at his pop-up in an old Italian mini mall.
Why: Crudo a-go-go. Think ostriche (oysters on the half shell with Chianti mignonette), capesante (sea scallops with pomegranate, anise, and hazelnut), and Thai snapper (wasabi, yuzu, and green apple).
