Waxing your you-know-what? Totally normal. Waxing your clothes? That’s news to us.
See for yourself tomorrow at Fjallraven’s holiday pop-up shop at Tenoversix. Pros from the Swedish company will teach you to weatherproof almost any garment — for free.
The 50-year-old outdoorsy biz developed the Greenland Wax, a bar of paraffin and beeswax that makes clothing and accessories water- and snow-repellent in just two steps (apply, heat).
Take in any cotton-based item — jeans, sweats, backpack, hat, t-shirt — or buy one of Fjallraven’s jackets or backpacks made from G-1000, a tent-like material ideal for outdoor activities, and instantly transform your favorite wardrobe staples into all-weather supergear.
And if you’re not happy with the results, three regular machine washings bring everything back to normal.
If only all waxing was so easy.
Fjallraven pop-up shop, at Tenoversix, 8425 Melrose Avenue, between North Croft Avenue and Melrose Place, West Hollywood (323-330-9355 or tenover6.com). Waxing event, Saturday, 5-9 p.m.
