Next stop: Oahu, where you’ll see Gypsy underpants.
Inspired by her adopted island lifestyle (in which a pair of comfy-but-not-dumpy, sexy-but-nowhere-near-slutty skivvies are mandatory for shuffling around the house on leisurely mornings), designer Kate Ruggiero started the line by seeking out the softest cotton jersey and nylon-Lycra she could find. Then she experimented on her sewing machine until she landed on the perfect demure silhouette and fit.
The resulting collection is a kaleidoscope of psyched-out patterns like tie-dye, lace, graphic florals, and fish-scale prints — all with monikers like Arm Around You, Breathless, and Among the Wildflowers.
Aside from the inherent cuteness of undies made in Hawaii, each pair is seamless, meaning they cling to your curves sans VPL. In other words, they’ll be sticking around awhile.
Available online at gypsy.bigcartel.com, $24.
