L'Chaim, Baby. Surf's Up!
Rabbi Shifren's Kosher Surf Camp

Madonna’s taking mikvahs. Roseanne’s baking prime-time challah. And Charlotte has actually de-shiksa-tized herself for a mensch.
In this era of jewfabophilia, what’s a goy to do?
Hang ten. While the masses ride the never-ending wave of the two-minute trend, Rabbi Shifren has been riding the Malibu surf for more than forty years. At his Kosher Surf Camp, he teaches Jews and non-Jews alike the supreme joy of surfing and enlightenment. (And he started doing this long before yoga taught us all how to find nirvana through downward dogs.) Known internationally as the Surfing Rabbi, founder of Jewish Surfers International, Shifren also leads surfari expeditions.
His only prerequisites: a love of the ocean, a thirst for adventure, and a willingness to tackle deep waves.
Now if only somebody would design a fashionable wet-shmatte to wear for it all.
